Wedding Jar
Stoneware, glaze, decal, gold lustre, H23 x W23cm
This wedding jar was made for my daughter's wedding. Its white colour suggest the virtues of purity, honesty and modesty and the moon form is thought to represent the fertility and the embracing gentle qualities of a woman. The making of this vessel, like all the others, is the joining of two halves to make one whole. It has been finished with a personalised decal designed by the couple and finished with a gold lustre rim and 21 golden hearts to mark the year.
